Infographic: Which Is The Most Popular Marvel Superhero On The Social Web?

Which is the most-talked about Marvel character on the social web? Strangely, it’s not Spider-Man.

Data analytics company Networked Insights decided to find out which Marvel superhero is resonating with fans and why, and which could be the starring in the next blockbuster.

According to an infographic designed by Adrian Carparas, for 30 days from 10 June to July 2012, the company found that the Incredible Hulk is the most discussed Avengers character on social media sites, followed by Thor and Iron Man.

The top mutants were: Wolverine, Magneto and Northstar; the top villains were: Loki, The Lizard and Venom; and the top comic characters were: Thanos, Silver Surfer and Nova.

Four significant characters—Ant-Man, Northstar, Thanos and Star-Lord—were also specifically analyzed, to find out what fans are talking about the most.

The infographic also revealed that the most social Marvel fans live in New York.
